The scorching heat beat down upon my neck as I trekked across the expansive desert. Each step sank into the powdery sand, leaving behind a trail that was quickly vanished. Above me, the heavens stretched out in a fiery expanse. The only sounds were the sighing of the wind and the distant call of unseen creatures. Ancient ruins lay buried beneath th
